FAW plans to establish wholly-owned subsidiaries in 8 countries

As the tide of globalization surges, FAW is setting sail and moving steadily towards the strategic goal of "No. 1 in China&world".

On July 1st, 2025, FAW reviewed and approved a major proposal at the 27th meeting of the 10th Board of Directors - "Proposal on the Establishment of New Overseas Subsidiaries". This decision marks a solid step forward for FAW in its global strategic layout. It plans to establish wholly-owned subsidiaries in 8 countries including Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico, with a total investment of RMB 498 million.

Since the release of the "SPRINT 2030" internationalization strategy in December 2024, FAW has continuously deepened its global layout, established FAW Group International Automobile Co., Ltd., completed the acquisition of FAW Africa Investment Co., Ltd. And FAW Automobile (Tanzania) Co., Ltd., reached a cooperation agreement of more than 1,000 units with Indonesia's GMM Company, and signed a memorandum of cooperation with Korean partners. Every step is a powerful witness to FAW's expansion in the international market.

The establishment of overseas subsidiaries in eight countries is not only a strong promotion of the "SPRINT 2030" internationalization strategy, but also a concrete action for FAW to accelerate the construction of internationalization capabilities and provide strong support for overseas sales breakthroughs. FAW will comprehensively build six internationalization strategic initiatives of "global layout, multi-brand operation, technology leadership, business innovation, win-win cooperation, and people-oriented" to continue to promote global layout.
