FAW: Military Parade Showcases a Great Nation's Powerful Weapons

On September 3, 2025, a grand ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was held in Tiananmen Square, Beijing. A grand military parade was held, marking this great day with the people of the world, and jointly creating a brighter future. The parade featured 45 formations. Among this mighty force, FAW, as the "eldest son of the Chinese automotive industry," exhibited five models of its medium-sized, highly maneuverable, general-purpose tactical military vehicles in the parade. They participated in three formations: the Air Defense and Anti-Missile Group's Anti-UAV Formation, the Information Operations Group's Cyberspace Operations Formation, and the Information Support Formation.

Looking back, FAW has always been in sync with the development of the motherland. On July 13, 1956, the first Jiefang truck rolled off the production line, ending New China's history of not being able to manufacture automobiles and marking the beginning of China's automobile industry. Just a few months later, in October 1956, the first automobile produced in New China—a Jiefang truck—proudly rolled through Tiananmen Square, being reviewed by the nation, sparking a massive outcry. This historic moment not only heralded the birth of China's automobile industry but also established the inextricable bond between the Jiefang brand and major national events.

In the decades since, FAW, as the "eldest son of the national vehicle," has been deeply integrated into every step of national defense. From the resounding march of the 35th National Day parade in 1984 to the majestic parade marking the 70th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 2015; from the dazzling display of armored vehicles at the 90th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army in 2017 to the magnificent parade marking the 70th anniversary of National Day in 2019, and now to the solemn review commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, Jiefang trucks have been present in nearly every major parade. They not only vividly demonstrate the transformation of China's automotive industry from a "follower" to a "leader," but also showcase to the world the robust strength of China's automotive industry and the advanced level of Chinese military equipment.
